Exchange, Resale & Refunds

Once paid for, tickets are not refundable except in the event of a cancelled performance. We may be able to exchange tickets for another performance of the same show, provided that tickets are returned to Box Office at least 24 hours prior to the performance for which they were issued. Where we are able to offer an exchange, an administration fee of £1 per ticket will be charged.

Tickets may also be returned for possible resale, subject to a 20% handling fee. We will endeavour to sell these tickets on your behalf but cannot guarantee that this will happen, especially while other seats may still be available for sale.

Prices

Where advance prices apply tickets must be paid for before the day of the performance. For these shows, any tickets not paid for until the day of the performance will be charged at a higher rate and usually any concession offered will not be available.

Concessions

Where advertised as available, standard concession prices may apply to Children, Full-time Students, Senior Citizens, Registered Unemployed or Disabled, LeedsCard Holders and Friends of the City Varieties. We will require proof of eligibility for these discounts prior to entry.
Note: Not all concessions apply to every show and only one concession can be applied per ticket.

Boxes

The Box price advertised is for 2 people. An additional seat may be added at your request, for which the applicable “per seat” ticket price will be charged. Please note that your comfort may be compromised by adding a third seat. All Box tickets contain the text – Restricted View – this reflects that the stage view will be from a sideways perspective.

Reservations

Reservations may be made for all performances, however, they will only be held for a period of 48 hours (group bookings excepted) after which, if they have not been paid for, they will be released for sale. Please note we are unable to accept reservations less than seven days before the performance.

Ticket Insurance

Insure your non-refundable tickets for as little as £1.50 per ticket. The City Varieties offer Ticket Plan insurance which covers you if you are unable to attend due to accident, unexpected illness or failure of public or private transport.

Note: The protection can only be purchased at the same time as the tickets. Ask the Box Office for more details. Our cover is underwritten by Allianz Cornhill Insurance PLC. A summary of the terms and conditions of our Master Policy including exclusions will be provided.
